Hello there! Welcome to our blog, CalgaryTranspo! We are assuming you have come here from the depths of Reddit, as that is the only place we have promoted ourselves. After we produced our last map of Calgary’s envisioned Primary Transit Network before and after the BRT, some of you called us heroes, some of you called us idiots…

And one of you quietly suggested we create our own site.

Well, lo and behold, here it is. CalgaryTranspo, inspired in concept by the former TransitCampYYC, and in name by OC Transpo, it will be site to house all of our infrequent, quality-questionable content about Calgary and it’s transport infrastructure. For now, content will only include information about transport, however we expect other municipal issues will eventually make it here too. We will probably continue to post the same content on Reddit as well, after all, we do need someone to look at this stuff… However, now we can add all the additional information with each post here, rather than trying to fit it into the OP comment we know most of you don’t read or care about!

For the summer, we will try and commit to weekly posts on several transport issues, but in our lives as students, we will probably need to take a step back come September.

We are passionate about seeing Calgary move forward, be it from the comfort of your car, the CTrain, a bicycle or your own two feet. We hope you enjoy perusing the content, and if you have an opinion, good or bad (but not offensive, please), feel free to share it with us. Transportation concerns us all (unless you control your world from your home), and it is important we aren’t the only ones talking about it.

Travel on, valuable reader…
